World AIDS Day: is celebrated on 1st December,
World AIDS Day is a day to remember those who have died of HIV and AIDS. It is also a time for people to come together, reflect on the lives lost and talk about how we can prevent more deaths in the future. World AIDS Day was originally observed by UNAIDS on 1 December 1988 and has been observed on 1 December every year since then. On this day we honor all those who have died of HIV/AIDS or whose lives are currently at risk due to infection with HIV.
