Ranthambore National Park is one of India's largest and most well-known national parks, with a robust population of tigers. Ranthambore was once the hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur and is now located near the small Rajasthan town of Sawai Madhopur. It continues to be a popular destination for wildlife enthusiasts, attracting a large number of wildlife photographers from all over the world! Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, which covers roughly 400 square kilometers, was established as a reserve in 1973 as part of the Government of India's Project Tiger and became a national park on November 1, 1980. With the progressive extension, the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve now covers 1334 square kilometers, including the Keladevi Sanctuary in the north and the Sawai Mansingh Sanctuary in the south.
